All Time Favorite: Nail Polish Brands

O.P.I. Nail Lacquer
O.P.I. is by far my all time favorite nail polish brand! For me the two main selling points are the brush and the selection of colors. The brush is on the larger side which I like because you can cover your entire nail with less brush stroke which ultimately means less chances to get polish on your cuticles or skin. In addition, O.P.I. releases several new color collections a year. I find that the company is very innovative with the colors and different finishes that they release. I also find that the polishes have a short dry time. My only complaint is that the pigmentation varies from color to color; however, in general I would say that I apply two coats every time I paint my nails. You can find O.P.I. nail polishes at Ulta, Giant, and Amazon and you can purcahas them anywhere from $4 to over $30 but they average around $8. The reason for the variability in price is that limited edition polishes or ones that are just hard to get your hands on can be extremely expensive on Amazon.

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Color
This is a truly wonderful drugstore brand! Out of all the drugstore nail polish brands I find that Sally Hansen's has the largest selection of colors. The Brush is only slightly smaller than the O.P.I. one which means it is still on the larger side. Across the board (with exception to their glitter polishes) the pigmentation is great. In addition, the polish does not last up to 10 days without chipping but I does last a lot longer than other brands. Removal of the polish is easy and I've never had a problem with this brand or O.P.I. leaving any discoloration on my nails. You can find these polishes at Target or any drugstore and they retail for about $3.
