Review: Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadows
There have been so many new releases from Maybelline that its been hard to keep up. Some products have been hits and others have been total misses. This product is a must have. You may have heard that these cream shadows are the drugstore version of MAC's paint pots. I personally think that statement is a little demeaning for the color tattoo cream shadows. I love paint pots and I own several of them but they have nothing on Maybelline. Although these color tattoos don't have the color selection that the paint pots do, they still have a very nice range. There are bright and neutral colors and some have a shimmery or metallic look while others are matte. One of the qualities that I really enjoy about these cream shadows is that they are so creamy. Now, when most people hear "creamy" they automatically think that the product must crease a lot and that is simply not the case with these shadows. On the contrary these shadows have the best budge proof staying power that I've ever seen in a shadow. Maybelline claims that these shadows will last 24 hours on your lid and I must say that I don't know one person who leaves their makeup on for 24 hours but for me, they appear just as beautiful when I wash my face at night as they did when I put them on in the morning. These shadows are definitely water resistant so you'll want to have some eye makeup remover on hand if you plan on picking up a few of these. The easiest way to apply these is to use your finger and blend the shadow from your lash line up and out. Concentrate the color on you lid and then use a clean finger to blend out the edges. If you do have a problem with creasing you can use a shadow primer but I highly doubt you'll need any. I love these and they definitely have the qualities of a highend cream shadow.
