Review: L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows

As mentioned in my January favorite’s video, these L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows are amazing! L’Oreal claims that these shadows are not only waterproof, crease-resistant, and smudge-resistant but also that these shadows are capable of lasting up to 24 hours on your lid. That is a lot to claim for a high-end brand let alone a drugstore brand; however, these Infallible eyeshadows really live up to all of their claims. These shadows have a cream to powder consistency which makes them incredibly pigmented and have truly tremendous staying power. I tend to rub my eyes a lot (it’s a bad habit I know) and these are the only shadows that are as pigmented and perfect at night when I am removing my makeup as when I applied them in the morning.
All of these colors have shimmer in them (some more than others) which means that if you prefer matte eyeshadows than these may not be for you. I personally enjoy shimmer/luminosity in shadows that I use as an all-over-lid color. When you are only using one shadow the shimmer can actually create a lot of depth and make it appear as if you took a lot more time to create your eye look than you did.
The application of these shadows is very simple. I recommend using your fingers to apply the color to your lid and perhaps a q-tip to apply one of the lighter shadows around your tear-duct as a highlight. I only recommend using a brush if you are going to be applying this shadow as an eyeliner; although, a q-tip would work quite will if you where trying to achieve a more smoky liner.
All of these shadows blend out easily with a clean finger, but once they have set they will not budge so I would recommend doing one eye at a time. Also, if you have oily lids your may need to use a primer to prevent creasing. I have very dry lids, never use a primer with these, and have never had a problem with creasing or fading. I have heard a dirty little rumor that some of the darker shades can temporarily stain your lids so if you are afraid of that I would also recommend using either a primer or a base.

Available Shades:
-Amber Rush

-Bronzed Taupe
-Continuous Cocoa
-Endless Pearl
-Eternal Black
-Eternal Sunshine

-Golden Sage
-Iced Latte

-Infinite Sky
-Midnight Blue
-Perpetual Purple

-Sultry Smoke
Overall I am in love with these shadows and plan on getting several more. Although I haven’t personally tried any of the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill eyeshadows I have heard that they are texturally and quality wise a dupe for this high-end brand which retail their shadows for $32 each. You can find these L’Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows in most drugstores and Targets for about $8. There are a total of 12 shadow colors which makes choosing just one difficult!
