Tropical Smoky Eye with Winged Eyeliner

Several days ago, I received a request to create a look incorporating a smoky eye and winged eyeliner. However, I’m not much of a fan of this combination so I went with something a little different. In comparison to the traditional smoky eye, this is very bright and fun look. If you want to recreate this look, leave yourself at least 45 minutes. The eyes take the majority of the time but the rest of the face is very simple. Fashionforall posted a beautiful picture on Instagram which really inspired me to film a tutorial on this look. This definitely isn’t going to be your everyday look, but it’s great for a summer picnic (Memorial Day is right around the corner hint hint!) These bright colors will put you in a great mood for the rest of the day! So give it a try. After all, it’s only makeup!

Helpful Tip:

Some of you may be wondering why I brought the orange shadow up above my crease. Simply put, I have hooded eyes which means I lose a lot of lid space once I open my eyes. In order to remedy this issue, I pull the lid color up higher than average so some of that color can be seen. I'll go more into eye shape in another blog post.
