All Time Favorite: Face Primer

I decided that I wanted to start another series on my blog so I decided it would be fun to do a “My Favorite” series that gives both drugstore and high-end options. Although I haven’t tried every brand in the world I have tried many, especially when it comes to drugstore products. I've hung onto to the ones that I find work the best for me and they've become part of my daily makeup routine. I hope you’re able to find this helpful and enjoy the series as much as I do.

Rimmel London: Fix & Perfect Pro Primer 002 (drugstore)
This is a wonderful primer! It claims to do five separate things: smooth, resurface, brighten, mattifies, and protect. It does a very good job of smoothing, resurfacing, and protecting. I don't notice any brightening effect (which I honestly don't care about) and I can't attest to the how well it mattifies because I don't have oily skin but it does a wonderful job of doing what it really needs to. You receive one ounce of product in this tube and you can find it at Walmart and drugstores for under $10!

smashbox: Photo Finish Foundation Primer (high-end)
Smashbox is one of my favorite high-end bands because they make excellent products and they're cruelty free. This primer does a wonderful job of smoothing the texture of your skin and bonding with your foundation. I personally don't breakout from this product but I have heard that many people do. If you ask one of the Sephora sales associates for a sample of this product the will gladly give a sample size so you can see how it reacts with your skin before you purchase it. I only have the small size at the moment but they do carry a larger size. The one that I have is .5 ounces and was purchased at Sephora for $17.00.
